Joe is raising funds for Project Safeguard because domestic violence is one of the most damaging and insidious things that exists within our community. Abuse rarely affects just one person—it often impacts entire families. Not only do victims live in constant fear, but children and other dependents frequently live in the shadow of that violence, experiencing angst, instability, and long-term emotional scars. Anyone who spends time observing how these situations unfold can see how difficult it is for victims to break free, and how much support is required for survivors to safely rebuild their lives.
